The SSI Advanced Adventurer is a scuba diving certification program offered by Scuba Schools International (SSI). It’s designed for divers who wish to explore a variety of specialties before committing to full specialty programs.
For SSI Advanced Open Water you need to complete 4 Specialties and 24 dives.

Here’s what the program entails:
- Variety of Specialties: You get to try out 5 different specialties during the program, which could include deep diving, night diving, navigation, and more.
- Open Water Dives: For each specialty, you’ll complete one open water training dive after a comprehensive briefing with your SSI Instructor.
- Flexibility: The program gives you the freedom to discover which aspects of diving you enjoy the most.
- Future Credits: Any training you complete can be credited towards full specialty certifications if you decide to continue.
- Minimum Requirements: To enroll, you need to be at least 10 years old and have an Open Water Diver certification.
- Depth and Duration: Training dives can go up to 30 meters/100 feet, and the suggested duration of the program is 10-15 hours.
