Finish Your Certification in Florida – Open Water Referrals

You did the homework. Now, come dive the real thing. Don't finish your Open Water certification in a cold quarry or a murky lake. You’ve completed your academic study and mastered the pool skills at your local dive shop—now, bring your referral paperwork to Space Coast Dive Center and earn your certification in the sunshine.

Florida is a world-class diving destination, and we are the perfect place to complete your training. We welcome referral students from major training agencies (SSI, PADI) to join us for the final step of their journey: the Open Water Checkout Dives.

The "Space Coast" Upgrade

Most dive centers offer the bare minimum for checkouts (4 short dives from the shore). We believe your first dives in the ocean should be unforgettable.

When you finish your certification with us, you get more:

• 5 Dives Total: We include an extra dive beyond the industry standard to ensure you are truly comfortable.

• Boat Diving Included: Your training culminates with 2 boat dives on your final day.

• The "Celebration Dive": Your final boat dive is a dedicated "fun dive" with your instructor—no skills, no drills, just exploring the reef as a newly certified diver!

• All-Inclusive Logistics: We cover the boat charter fees, lake  entry fees, and site logistics.

How It Works (Incoming Referrals)

1. Bring Your Paperwork: Ask your original instructor for your "Referral Form" (or Universal Referral Record) and bring your logbook.

2. Gear Up: We get you fitted for the heavy gear (included) and check your personal gear.

3. Dive: You spend two days diving with our experienced instructors. We review your skills in the ocean, get you comfortable, and certify you!

Equipment & Requirements

We make travel easy by providing the heavy life-support equipment. We Provide:

• Regulator & Dive Computer

• Buoyancy Control Device (BCD)

• Wetsuit & Tanks

You Must Provide (Personal Gear): For your comfort and hygiene, you need your own "soft gear."

• Mask & Snorkel

• Scuba Fins (must be open-heel scuba fins with booties, not swimming fins)

• Surface Marker Buoy (SMB)
