Carmen’s passion for the water started in 2011 in North Georgia and evolved into a professional career in 2018. She is a dual-threat instructor who holds high-level certifications in both Scuba and Mermaid diving. "Shello!" is her signature greeting, reflecting her deep love for the "merworld" where she enjoys introducing students to the magic of the ocean. When she isn't teaching, she can be found fun diving with her underwater photography gear, swimming with a mermaid pod, or crafting new accessories.

As a Master Instructor and Assistant Instructor Trainer, Carmen possesses a comprehensive teaching range that covers students from their very first breath underwater to professional leadership levels. Her core teaching rights span the full recreational curriculum, including Open Water Diver through Divemaster, alongside essential skill development courses like Scuba Skills Update and Perfect Buoyancy.

She is also a highly qualified Specialty Instructor authorized to teach Deep Diving, Enriched Air Nitrox (Level 2), Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility, Search & Recovery, Stress & Rescue, Wreck Diving, and Equipment Techniques.

Beyond traditional scuba, Carmen is a dedicated Ecology Specialist offering courses in Shark, Sea Turtle, Manta & Ray, Marine Mammal, and Coral Identification.

Finally, she brings a unique creative flair to the team as a certified Mermaid and Underwater Model Instructor, capable of taking students from Try Mermaid all the way to Ocean Mermaid.
