Derrell doesn't just dive; he explores. A certified diver since 2015, he has logged over 200 dives across the globe. From the current-swept reefs of Malaysia and Brunei to the hauntingly beautiful freshwater quarries of the Midwest, Derrell brings a world of experience back to the Space Coast.

Since 2020, Derrell has been sharing his passion as a Certified Professional Divemaster. Holding a Master Diver rating, he combines high-level expertise with a storyteller’s heart, ensuring every trip is as safe as it is unforgettable.

• The Crown Jewel: Tubbataha Reef Marine Park (Sulu Sea, Philippines).

• Wreck Heaven: Coron Bay, Philippines—home to legendary WWII warships.

• The "Hollywood" Dive: Lake Phoenix, VA (where The Replacements was filmed).

• Super-Dives: Mermet Springs in Metropolis, IL (the home of Superman!).

On the Reef & In the Rust

Derrell is most at home navigating a historical wreck or advocating for marine wildlife conservation. If you spot a Manta Ray or a Whale Shark (his absolute favorites!) during your safety stop, you’ll likely see him grinning through his regulator.
